Having been a successful player in other industries, I have been attracted by the challenge, stimulation and interest values inherent in I.T. Displaying both a personal and financial commitment to a new I.T. career, I have undertaken a comprehensive training course, specialising in COBOL Applications Programming. This has reconfirmed my ability to take on new ideas and learn new skills quickly. I am looking for an organisation where I can develop a long-term relationship and build a career, enhancing my skills, I.T. knowledge and experience for the benefit of both myself, and my employer. I realise that this may involve further training and possibly expense on the part of my employers. My own ongoing expenditure, in training for myself, is an indication of both my determination and value as an individual in whom investment is worthwhile. In addition to my course I have also taught myself the essentials of HTML and Web authoring, which is a further indication of my determination to add other I.T. skills to my repertoire. To overcome my lack of relevant experience within the industry, I have recently approached an organisation in an attempt to gain placement in one of many local companies, within their I.T. department. This in an unpaid, voluntary position lasting for sixteen weeks, but this will enable me to get job-related experience, which can only assist in my job search. I enjoy a good relationship with all levels of staff, and I am an extremely loyal worker who is determined to succeed at any given task. I have been involved with the training of staff, so feel competent to instruct, but also to learn and utilise new skills quickly. I will always give my complete best in the working environment. I have many hobbies which include playing the guitar and singing, reading, listening to music, computing and football. I am also a keen photographer, and would like to build this as my main hobby.
